Faustino Aguilar Scholarship Study Grant

Effective 2nd semester, AY 2017-2018. QUALIFICATIONS: An applicant for this scholarship – study grant shall have finished the first two years of any course offered at the College of Arts and Letters or College of Education preferably major in Filipino language. In addition, he/she:

Qualifications

1. belongs to a needy family whose annual gross income does not exceed P100,000.00
2. has not been subject to disciplinary action of any kind
3. is a natural born citizen of the Philippines
4. has obtained an average grade of “2.50” or better during the semester immediately preceding the application
5. has no grade of “5.00” nor has he obtained a grade of “4.00” or “inc” which has not yet been removed at the time application

Benefit

1. P3,000 per semester

Tau Alpha Overseas West Scholarship Grant

Effective 2nd semester, AY 2017-2018

Qualifications

1. Must have obtained an average of "3.0" or better and must have carried a load of at least 15 units with no grade of "5.0" or unremoved "4.00" or "incomplete in the semester immediately preceding the application
2. Must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award of the grant
3. Must be financially needy
4. Must be a bonafide Engineering, Architecture or Computer Science student in the University of the Philippines
5. Must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension
6. Must be a member of the Tau Alpha Fraternity

Benefit

1. Actual interest earnings but not exceeding P17,500 per semester to be given in lump sum upon awarding of the scholarship

Amador Nisperos Memorial Study Grant

Effective 1st Semester, AY 2017-2018. Applicants for this study grant must be a bona fide undergraduate students pursuing Public Affairs course (Environmental Planning, Public Administration, Law) or any Social Science course in the University of the Philippines who have the following qualifications:

Qualifications

1. must not have been the subject of any disciplinary penalty heavier than a 5-day class suspension.
2. if already enrolled, must have obtained an average of “2.75” or better for a normal load, with no grade of “5” or unremoved “4” or “inc” in the preceding semester;
3. must be enlisted men, non-commissioned officers and lieutenants (or their spouses/dependents), of any major service commands of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Preference, however, shall be given to enlisted men in the intelligence service;
4. must have passed the U.P. College Admissions Test;

Benefit

1. P3,000.00 per semester to cover school fees, book allowance and stipends.

Wheelchair & Disabled Association Of The Philippines, Inc. (Wdap) Scholarship Study Grant

Effective First Semester, AY 2017-2018.

Qualification

1. Recipients must qualify for admission to the University and must be physically handicapped.

Professor Salustiano G. Tengonciang Centennial Scholarship Grant

Effective 2nd Semester, AY 2017-2018

Qualifications

1. must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action.
2. must be of good moral character;
3. preferably belonging to ST bracket FD and PD 80%. In case he/she holds other scholarship/financial assistance, the Office of Scholarships and Student Services must be properly informed so that there will be non duplicate of benefits;
4. must carry at least 15 units and must have passed all subjects in the semester immediately preceding the application;
5. must be a junior or senior student in the B.S. Chemistry program;
6. must be a Filipino citizen;

1. P12,000.00 per semester

Qualifications

1. for Junior and Senior students, must have an average of at least "2.5" or better in the previous semester with no grade of "5.0" or "incomplete"

Madrano And Donato V. Abis Memorial Foundation Scholarship For B.S. Chemistry Students

Effective 2nd semester, AY 2017-2018. An applicant for the scholarship must be a FRESHMAN student who has the following qualifications:

Qualifications

1. Must not have been subject to disciplinary action.
2. Must have qualified for admission in the Chemistry program;
3. Must not be enjoying any other scholarships or financial assistance;
4. Must be financially needy; A student is financially needy if his/her financial situation qualifies him/her for STFAP Bracket 7 or lower;

Benefit

1. Actual interest earnings of the scholarship fund but not to exceed P5,000 per semester.

Student Assistance Fund For Education For Scholarship (Safe Scholarship)

Effective First Semester, AY 2017-2018.

Qualifications

1. Must be a Filipino citizen;
2. Must have passed the UPCAT;
3. Must have passed all the subjects;
4. Must be financially needy (parents’ annual gross income must not exceed P300,000).
5. Must be at least 3rd year student enrolled in the following: • College of Education (2 slots) • English Studies (1 slot) • College of Science (1 slot) • BS Mathematics (2 slots) • Engineering, any 4 yr course (1 slot)

Benefit

1. P7,500 per semester

I.B. Gimenez Scholarship Grant

Effective 2nd semester, AY 2017-2018

Qualifications

1. Must be admitted to the University, subject to the University of the Philippines College Admission Test
2. Must be at least a regular freshman student BS Theater Arts or BS BA Speech Communication programs of the College of Arts & Letters
3. Must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the awarding of the grant
4. Must be qualified for tuition discount from 60% Partial Discount up to Full Discount (FD) under the University's Socilaized Tuition System, and whose household earnings do not exceed Php 325,000 per year
5. Must not have been held liable in any disciplinary action by the University of by College, as certified by the Student Disciplinary Council of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs

Benefit

1. Earnings of the donation but not exceed P25,000 per semester.

Augusto A. Alzona Scholarship Grant

Effective 1st Semester, AY 2017-2018.

Qualifications

1. A student is qualified for the Augusto Alzona Scholarhsip if he/she: is a Senior B.S. Mathematics student;
2. has completed at least 45 units in Mathematics with an average of at least “2.0” and is enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of award;
3. does not have a grade of “5.0” or unremoved grade of “4.0” or “Inc.” in the immediately preceding semester;
4. is of good moral character as evidenced by a certificate issued by any one of the following: Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Director of Student Affairs Dean of the College, a faculty member of the University
5. is recommended by the Chairman of the Department of Mathematics

Benefit

1. P10,000 per semester.

Tria Kerkvliet Scholarship Grant

Effective First Semester, AY 2017-2018

Qualifications

1. Must not have been held liable in any disciplinary action.
2. Must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award of the Grant;
3. Must be qualified for at least tuition Partial Discount (PD) of 60% of the University's Socialized Tuition System and whose combined gross family income is not more than Php 350,000;
4. Must be a graduate from a public high school in any provinces of Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga or Tarlac;
5. Must be admitted to the University, subject to the University of the Philippines College Admission Test;
6. Must be a first year student enrolled in any degree program at the University;

Benefits

1. School fees as assessed up to P15,000
2. Monthly stipend @ P6,000 x 5 months

Coca-Cola Foundation, Inc. Scholarship

Effective 2nd semester, AY 2017-2018

Qualifications

1. Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship that will make the combined monthly stipend more than P5,000.00
2. Must not have been found guilty of participating in any violent incident such as hazing and/or fraternity rumbles, whether on campus or off campus
3. Must study on a full time basis and must carry the normal load
4. Must have obtained a general weighted average of at least "2.50" during the semester immediately preceding the application with no grade of "5.00" or unremoved grade of "4.00" or "Inc."
5. Must not have been found guilty of cheating or committing any act of misconduct
6. Must be a 3rd year BS Elementary Education student
7. Must be financially deserving. A student is financially deserving if his/her financial situation qualifies him/her for STFAP Bracket 7 or lower
8. Must be a Filipino citizen

Benefit

1. Interest earnings of the fund, not exceeding P37,000.00 per year

Upaa Toronto Scholarship Grant

Effective 2nd semester, AY 2017-2018

Qualifications

1. must not have been subjected to disciplinary action by his/her college and/or by the University, as certified by the Student Disciplinary Council
2. must be of good moral character, as certified by the Dean of his/her college, and not have been convicted of a crime
3. must be financially needy (e.g. parents' and guardians' combined annual gross income is not more than PHILIPPINE PESO: Three Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand (Php 325,000.00), or applicant belongs to not better than Bracket 80% of the University's Socialized Tuition System
4. regular student of the University who is minimum second year level
5. must be enrolled in any bachelor's degree program of the University
6. must not have earned a cumulative minimum General Weighted Average grade of "2.25" in all courses taken at the University
7. must not have been given a grade of lower than 3.00 ("Pass") or, before the awarding of the Grant or any payment of its benefits, have a grade of "INC"/"Incomplete"
8. must comply with the rules of his/her college and the University on academic performance (e.g., minimum academic load per semester or year and maximum residence rule)

Benefit

1. Monthly stipend @ P4,000.00 - P20,000 per semester

Effective First Semester, AY 2017-2018.

Qualifications

1. must be financially needy (parents' annual gross income must not exceed P200,000); must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension.
2. must have qualified for admission; if already enrolled, must have a weighted average of at least "2.5" during the immediately preceding semester;
3. An applicant for the grant must be a bona fide freshman student of the University of the Philippines;
4. must be enrolled in any four or five-year degree program and must carry a normal load of at least 15 units per semester;

2. Book allowance of P1,000/sem.
3. Stipend of P1,500/month

Effective First Semester, AY 2017-2018.

Qualifications

1. Must be financially needy (income must not exceed P400,000).
2. Applicants must be descendants of Dr. Jose and Celestina Raymundo, as identified by the Trustee. A family tree will be provided to include the current members. Future members will be certified by birth certificates and signatures of Trustees;
3. Must have passed the UPCAT;
4. Must obtained a General Weighted Average of at least "2.00" in the semester immediately preceding application;

Qualifications

3. 3rd or 4th year Journalism student
4. must be a natural-born Filipino citizen

Philippine Vending Corporation Scholarship

Effective 2nd Semester, AY 2017-2018

Qualifications

1. must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension.
2. must be active in Christian work;
3. must have potentials for leadership (as evidenced by his/her extra-curricular activities rendered in the community);
4. must be financially needy (parents’ annual gross income must not exceed P325,000);
5. must be a bona fide Engineering, BS Math or BS Physics student of the University of the Philippines Diliman;
6. if an entering freshman, must have passed the UPCAT; if already enrolled, must have obtained an average of “2.5” or better and must have carried a load of at least 15 units with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “incomplete” in the semester preceding the application;

1. Transportation allowance and miscellaneous expenses at P2,500 x 5 months – P12,500.00/sem.

3. An average of at least “2.5” or better during the immediately preceding semester with no grade of “4” or “Inc.” if already enrolled
4. A general weighted average of at least 85% in high school, if an entering freshman
5. Filipino citizen
6. The applicant must be preferably enrolled in BS Chemistry or BS Biology
