Manuel E. Arguilla Scholarship

Qualifications

1. Applicants must be a bona fide students of the College of Arts and Letters;
2. Must have at least one semester’s residence in the college;
3. Must have enrolled in at least 15 units during the immediately preceding semester, if undergraduate students; at least 9 units if graduate;
4. Must have passed all the subjects enrolled in during the immediately preceding semester;
5. Must show proof of talent in creative writing in terms of published work of manuscript.

Benefit

1. P3,000 per semester.

Philippine Vending Corporation Scholarship

Qualifications

1. must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension.
2. must be active in Christian work;
3. must have potentials for leadership (as evidenced by his/her extra-curricular activities rendered in the community);
4. must be financially needy (parents’ annual gross income must not exceed P325,000);
5. if an entering freshman, must have passed the UPCAT; if already enrolled, must have obtained an average of “2.5” or better and must have carried a load of at least 15 units with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “incomplete” in the semester preceding the application;
6. must be a bona fide Engineering, BS Math or BS Physics student of the University of the Philippines Diliman;

Benefits

Beta Sigma Northwest Scholarship

Qualifications

1. must be a member of good standing of the BETA Sigma Fraternity who is enrolled in the University of the Philippines Diliman/Manila;
2. if an entering freshman, must have passed the UPCAT; if already enrolled, must have obtained an average grade of “2.5” or better and must have carried a load of at least 15 units with no grade of “5.0” or unremoved “4.0” or “Inc.” in the semester immediately preceding the application;
3. must belong to a family whose parents’ annual gross income is less than P500,000.00;
4. must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award of the grant;
5. must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action

1. School fees as assessed but not to exceed – P12,000/sem.
2. Book allowance – P1,500/sem.
3. Monthly stipend at P1,500 x 5 months – P7,500/sem.

Qualification

San Miguel Community Scholarship Program

Qualifications

1. Must be a Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines for at least four (4) years prior to the grant of the scholarship;
2. Must be a sophomore BS Chemical Engineering student enrolled in UP Diliman;
3. Must have obtained an average grade of 2.50 or better and must not have carried a load of at least 18 units with no grade of "5.00" or unremoved "4.00" or "inc" in the semester immediately preceding the application;
4. Must not be a recipient of any scholarship grant;
5. Must be financially needy (parents' annual gross income must not exceed P350,000.00);
6. Must not have been held liable in any disciplinary action.

Francisco Benitez Scholarship

Qualifications

1. Open to male freshman or sophomore B.S. Education students, but exception may be made in case specially needy and meritorious students in junior or senior year with the following qualifications;
2. must be a natural born Filipino citizens;
3. must have a weighted average of "2.5" or better in the semester immediately preceding the application;
4. must have no grade of "5" or "4" and have carried a normal load in the semester immediately preceding the application; any grade of "Inc." must be removed on or before the last day for late registration of the following semester;
5. must come from a family whose parents' annual gross income does not exceed P100,000; must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action; must not be enjoying any other scholarship or financial assistance.

Augusto A. Alzona Scholarship Grant

Effective 1st Semester, AY 2016-2017.

Qualifications

1. Must be a Senior B.S. Mathematics student;
2. has completed at least 45 units in Mathematics with an average of at least “2.0” and is enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of award;
3. does not have a grade of “5.0” or unremoved grade of “4.0” or “Inc.” in the immediately preceding semester;
4. is of good moral character as evidenced by a certificate issued by any one of the following: Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Director of Student Affairs Dean of the College, a faculty member of the University
5. is recommended by the Chairman of the Department of Mathematics

Dean Armando J. Malay Memorial Scholarship In Journalism

Qualifications

1. Must be a bona fide third year BA Journalism student in UP Diliman;
2. Must have obtained an average of “2.5” or better for a load of at least 15 units with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved grade of “4.00” or “Inc.” in the immediately preceding semester;
3. Must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award of the grant;
4. Must have graduated from a public school.

Carlos Palanca Foundation

Qualifications

1. Must belong to underprivileged family with parents’ annual gross income of not more than P300,000.00 a year;
2. Must be an incoming freshman student;
3. Must undergo and passed the UPCAT;
4. Must not be a holder of any other scholarship or financial assistance. In case he/she holds or gets another scholarship/financial assistance, the student must inform the UP Office of Scholarships and Student Services (OSSS) so that there will be no duplication of benefits;
5. Must be enroll in B.A. Malikhaing Pagsulat, B.A. Araling Filipino major in Malikhaing Pagsulat or Creative Writing at U.P. Diliman or U.P Mindanao, or any other U.P. campus where the degree of Bachelor of Arts, major in Creative Writing/Malikhaing Pagsulat is offered.
6. Must not have been the subject of disciplinary action by the University of the Philippines.
7. Must be inclined towards literature as supported by literary works submitted to the screening committee.

4. Students graduated from universities or colleges other than University of the Philippines must have earned at least (9 units) upon application.

Qualifications

1. Must have obtained a minimum GWA of "1.75" for a load of at least 9 academic units with no grade of "5.00", unremoved "4.0" or "inc" in the semester immediately following the application;
2. Must be a natural born Filipino citizen;
3. Must be a bonafide student enrolled in any Doctoral program in the University of the Philippines System;
4. Doctoral students who have taken their Masteer's program from universities or colleges other than University of the Philippines must have earned at least (9 units) upon application.

1. Monthly stipend of P2,500.00;
2. Book allowance of P3,000.00/semester.

Coca-Cola Foundation, Inc. Scholarship

Qualifications

1. Must be a Filipino citizen;
2. Must be financially deserving. A student is financially deserving if his/her financial situation qualifies him/her for STFAP Bracket 7 or lower;
3. Must have obtained a general weighted average of at least “2.50” during the semester immediately preceding the application with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved grade of “4.00” or “Inc.”;
4. must be a 3rd year student enrolled in BS Elementary Education
5. Must study on a full time basis and must carry the normal load;
6. Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship that will make the combined monthly stipend more than P5,000.00;
7. Must not have been found guilty of participating in any violent incident such as hazing and/or fraternity rumbles, whether on campus or off campus;
8. Must not have been found guilty of cheating or committing any act of misconduct.
